OUR PROCEDURES

In most instances we attempt to have our tenants address pest control procedures on their own. Most pest control issues can be solved by the tenant. This way we do not have to dispatch a pest control company at the cost of our clients.

Some examples include setting mouse traps for 2 weeks on their own and asking our tenants to document any activity they find with the traps for those two weeks. We will reimburse the tenants for the cost of the traps that they purchase to attempt to remedy the issue on their own.

Same thing goes for roach remediation. Roaches often are attracted to units that have a lot of debris and/or food in the unit. We will ask the tenants to likely clean their unit and set bait traps for 2 weeks to try to remedy the issue. After asking tenants to take these steps and there are still issues in the property, we will then dispatch pest control to professionally remedy any issues at the property.

For example, if it is found that the tenant is at fault for attracting roaches because of cleanliness issues we will charge the tenant for the cost of the pest control. We always have the best interest of our clients in mind.
